All cymbals from Meinl's Byzance Traditional series are traditionally hand-crafted in Turkey, and made of Meinl's B20 bronze alloy (containing 80% copper, 20% tin and traces of silver). As you might have guessed from its name, the 20-inch Byzance Extra Thin Hammered Crash was hammered to an extra-thin profile. This gives the crash its beautifully dark sound with average sustain and a wide spread, and because these crashes are hand-hammered, each individual cymbal has its own unique sound and characteristics. The Byzance Extra Thin Hammered Crash is a versatile cymbal that is suited for a wide range of musical styles.

Hele vette doch eenzijdige crash. Super dun bekken met een complex geluid door het grove hamer werk. Zit qua geluid tussen een dark crash en een china in. Heel vies en trashy, maar heel erg mooi in de mix.

Bruikbaar als harde of als zachte crash. Gaat omdat hij zo dun is vrijwel direct open, dus patroontjes als ride geen optie. Om over de bell maar niet te praten. Bruikbaar om op te bashen of als losse crash.

Wat wel echt de moeite waard is te vermelden is dat mijn crash al jaren mee gaat. En ik mishandel m echt. Dus ondanks dat hij zo dun is kwalitatief zeer hoogwaardig!
